The deployment of Agile Practices is one of the most significant developments in Project Management over the last decade. In fact, the Project Management Institute’s 2016 Pulse of the Profession noted around 60% of companies are using Agile Project Management Practices in a significant portion of their projects. Agile concepts even being deployed in other parts of the organization such as marketing and supply chain management. This seminar is designed as an introduction to Agile Project Management. We will talk about the origins of Agile and what drove its development, how Agile is similar to and different from traditional project management, the benefits and drawbacks of Agile, and the basic Agile Project Management Process. We will also walk through how the Agile concepts are implemented in one of the most popular Agile methods, SCRUM.
