Judy has been an educator for 38 years beginning with ten years as a K-12 music teacher in Wisconsin\, Montana\, and Illinois. Her family moved to Appleton from Chicago in 1995 and her sons both experienced an outstanding education here in the Appleton Area School District (AASD). During her 24 years in the AASD\, she served as assistant principal at Wilson Middle School\, next as principal of Stephen Foster Elementary Charter School\, and most recently as an assistant superintendent for the West Cluster. She received her Bachelor's degree in Music Education from Concordia College in Moorhead\, Minnesota\; her Masters\, Education Specialist\, and Doctoral degrees in Educational Leadership from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. As Superintendent of Schools in the Appleton Area School District\, Judy oversees the education of over 16\,000 students attending 35 schools and is in charge of 2\,000 staff including 1\,300 teachers. She maintains positive relationships with the community and currently serves on committees and Boards such as the Appleton Education Foundation\, Wisconsin State Leadership Team (RtI Center and PBIS Network)\, Community Early Learning Center\, Fox Cities Performing Arts\, United Way\, and the Appleton Youth Education Initiative. Judy enjoys working with dedicated staff\, board of education members\, parents\, business partners\, volunteers\, and the community to achieve our District's mission of supporting Success for Every Student\, Every Day. \n\n \n\n\n\n\n\nSam Statz\, President and Owner\, Hoffman Planning & Design Construction\, Inc. \n\n\n\nSam Statz is president and majority owner of Hoffman Planning\, Design\, & Construction\, Inc. Sam brings more than 25 years of industry experience and a wealth of expertise in construction services and project management. A Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED ) Accredited Professional\, Sam is a member of the Associated General Contractors of Wisconsin. Sam has built a successful career in the design and construction profession\, leading teams for more than two decades in delivering innovative and quality built facility projects and ensuring client satisfaction. Sam's vast project experience is highlighted by his work with River Crest Elementary School\, the first LEED for Schools Gold certified public elementary school in Wisconsin\, and the Cenacle Sisters convent and retreat center in New York\, which was awarded LEED Gold certification. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Stout with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management and a sustainable design and construction expert\, Sam has been invited to speak and write on the subject multiple time \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nKurt Voss\, CEO\, AmeriLux International \n\n\n\nKurt Voss is the owner and CEO of AmeriLux International\, a value-adding distributor of various products used mainly in building and construction applications including polycarbonate sheet products and PVC liner panels. Kurt oversees operations at the company's corporate headquarters located in De Pere\, Wisconsin. He has been instrumental in initiating leading-edge practices in leadership principles\, employee engagement\, and personnel development. Started with nothing more than a vision and a pioneering spirit\, AmeriLux International was formed in 2004 in a small warehouse in Appleton\, Wisconsin with one employee. Today\, the company has grown to operate nearly 100\,000 square feet of production and fabrication space and employs more than 60 people. Over the years\, AmeriLux has added two companies to its portfolio to better service its customers: AmeriLux Transportation - a full service trucking company and AmeriLux Logistics - a freight brokerage firm with access to a network of dependable carriers. In 2013\, AmeriLux International was honored with the small business Growth Award from the Green Bay Chamber of Commerce. Extensively involved in the greater Green Bay community\, Kurt is an active member of his local church and a frequently invited guest speaker on business and leadership. Kurt currently serves on the Board of Trustees at St. Norbert College\, the Board of Advisors at the Donald J. Schneider School of Business and Economics\, the Community Action Board for the Medical College of Wisconsin - Green Bay\, is the Past Chair of the Board for Partners in Education at the Chamber of Commerce\, and is Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors for the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation. Kurt's entrepreneurial spirit\, community investment\, and innovative leadership have been recognized with multiple awards. In 2016\, AmeriLux International received the Manufacturing Award of Distinction for Community Support and Involvement. That same year\, TEC Midwest honored Kurt with Wisconsin's Inspirational Leader of the Year Award. In 2017\, the Green Bay Chamber recognized the significant positive impacts Kurt has made on the community and those around him\, honoring him with the Business Person of the Year Award at its annual Business Recognition Luncheon. Perhaps Kurt's most meaningful non-business accomplishment was to conceive of\, raise the funds for\, and oversee a $2.8M restoration project of a 130-year-old church on the St. Norbert College Campus in memory of his daughter\, Cassie. This beautifully renovated historical building is now called the Cassandra Voss Center and houses the Women's and Gender Studies Academic Discipline and the Men's Initiative\, as well as hosts a variety of college and community events and programs. \n\n \n\n\n\n\n \n\n \n \n Presented by:
