Laurie Butz, President and CEO of Capital Credit Union
Laurie Butz, President and CEO of Capital Credit Union since November 2021 has over 35 years in business and financial services experience. She has held senior leadership roles in HR, Organizational Development, Training, Sales Administration, Investments, Insurance Services and Business Development for profit and not for profit organizations including Community First Credit Union, Alta Resources, United Health Care and Associated Bank.
Her commitment to community has been demonstrated through Board Chair roles for YMCA of the Fox Cities and United Way Fox Cities, Board Personnel Chair roles for YMCA of the Fox Cities, UW Fox Cities, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Fox Valley, as well as through management oversight of the Community First Fox Cities Marathon. Laurie is currently on the Greater Green Bay Chamber of Commerce Board, New North Board, and is a member of the Advisory Board for the Business School at UWGB.
Laurie has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from UW Green Bay, a master’s degree in business administration from UW Oshkosh and earned a 3 year designation as Certified Chief Executive (CCE) through CUES. She is also a certified Six Sigma Green Belt through Juran Institute. In 2022, UW Oshkosh, where she was an adjunct faculty member for over 10 years, selected Laurie as the 2022 Beta Gamma Sigma honoree to recognize her achievements in business and exemplify her pursuit of wisdom. Also in 2022 Laurie was recognized with the Lifelong Achievement Athena Award through the Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce and most recently Laurie was named a 2024 Titan 100 for the state of WI.
Chris Hess, Goodwill
Chris Hess is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Goodwill Industries of North Central Wisconsin (NCW), where he leads the organization in living out its mission of Elevating People by Eliminating Barriers to Employment. Since he began his role in 2018, Hess has brought a renewed vision for enhancing mission impact and expanding missionintegrated donated goods retail.
Under Hess’ leadership, Goodwill Industries NCW, which includes retail training centers and community-focused programs across 35 counties in Wisconsin, has been ranked among the top 10 in the world for number of lives touched. In 2023, the organization served over 56,000 people in Wisconsin and generated over $4.6M dollars in increased wages for job seekers served by Goodwill. In addition, Goodwill NCW is recognized as best in class among Goodwill territories across the nation and has a score of 100 out of 100 on Charity Navigator for financial health and accountability.
Hess holds the distinction of being named one of Wisconsin’s most influential black leaders. He currently serves on the Council of Executives and Board of Directors of Goodwill Industries International where he serves as the chair of the Strategic Issues and Planning Committee. Additional Boards that Hess serves on include St. Norbert College (Board of Trustees), First Business Bank (Advisory Board), The Greater Green Bay Chamber Economic Development Board (Board of Directors), and SECURA Insurance Companies (Board of Directors). His previous community involvement includes service on the Board of Directors of the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Fox Valley and several terms on the Board of Directors of the Fox Cities Chamber, including time as the Chair.
Todd Kelsey, CEO of Plexus:
Todd Kelsey is the Chief Executive Officer of Plexus Corp, headquartered in Neenah, WI, where he leads a global team of 20,000, all united by our vision to help create the products that build a better world.
Todd assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer in 2016. Prior to that, Todd held the positions of President and Chief Executive Officer, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Executive Vice President of Global Customer Services and Senior Vice President of Engineering Solutions, among others. He joined Plexus in 1994 as a Design Engineer.
Todd also serves on the Board of Directors for Steelcase Inc., a global provider of workplace products, furnishings and services and Wisconsin Manufacturer’s and Commerce.
Todd earned a B.S. and a M.S. in electrical engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an M.B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
Scott Murphy, President and CEO of Jewelers Mutual
Scott Murphy officially began his role with Jewelers Mutual in January 2015. Prior to joining the company, Murphy was an executive partner and principal in the insurance industry consulting group Triad Analytic Solutions, which offered product, pricing/underwriting and distribution solutions for numerous insurance companies across multiple lines of business.
His successful career in insurance includes roles as chief operating officer at GMAC Insurance with responsibilities for personal, commercial and specialty lines of insurance across all distribution channels. He also has held executive or management positions within the Great American family of insurance carriers, including Infinity Insurance and Windsor Insurance Group. He began his career in corporate marketing with United Parcel Service (UPS).
Murphy currently serves on the board of directors for the Jewelers’ Security Alliance, a nonprofit association devoted to reducing crimes against the jewelry industry.
He is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, where he earned his undergraduate and an MBA with a concentration in marketing and finance.
