Fox Cities AAWU STEM Tech Savvy

The Appleton and Oshkosh Branches will again host AAUW Tech Savvy, a daylong conference with women mentors, designed for girls to experience firsthand how STEM fields can lead to exciting careers. The conference is designed for girls and their parents in grades six through nine and their parents but is open to all. More information about Tech Savvy and the programming being offered this year can be found on either of the following websites. Registration opens on January 12, 2024. Girls from last year found the Tech Savvy conference interactive and FUN! This year’s experiences deal with Robotics, Chemistry, Engineering, Computers, DNA in a Bottle, the Science of Medicine, Crime Scene Investigation, and more. 90% of the girls who attended realized there were more options in STEM careers than they thought and were strongly considering exploring STEM careers.
