Rachael Davis wsg Michael Grabner at Gibson Community Music Hall
Join us at Gibson Community Music Hall for a special Mile 9 preview performance featuring national touring artist Rachael Davis (Miles 8 & 9.) Appleton's Michael Grabner will open the show. RACHAEL DAVIS: Songwriter, banjo-piano-uke-guitar player, nurturer, seamstress, wearer of aprons, bearer of band-aids, maker of levity, staunch adversary of bullshit... Multi-instrumentalist Rachael Davis is as renown for her expressive–and explosive–voice as she is for uniting the often desperate worlds of folk, blues, country, and pop. Davis has lent her voice to countless recordings for friends, film soundtracks, and even video games, but it is her intuitive and empathetic understanding of folk music—“the music of folks” as she calls it, and her original and thoughtful songwriting voice that has earned her fans around the U.S. MICHAEL GRABNER: Michael Grabner is a singer/ songwriter, and Appleton, WI native. He possesses a unique sound rooted in the traditions of country, folk, and rock and roll. Michael's sound would be best described as americana or alt country; He is influenced strongly by American roots music. His unique vocal stylings, captivating lyrics, and driving guitar rhythm engage his audience, whether they are listening to him live or through his work in the studio. Michael is currently working on his first full length album, and he plays live at a number of venues and festivals in Wisconsin.
