Samaritan Counseling Center of the Fox Valley, Inc., a state-certified and nationally accredited, nonprofit mental health and substance abuse care agency treating adults and children in northeast Wisconsin, is moving to their new offices at the end of May and inviting investors and the public to a ribbon cutting ceremony and tours on June 10, 2022, starting at 9:00 a.m.. A formal presentation will begin at 9:15 a.m..
The new building marks a major milestone in the agency’s 50+ year history, and is the result of a feasibility study, years of planning, and raising over $2,850,000 to make the dream a reality. “Many, many people collaborated to make this happen,” said executive director Rosangela Berbert. “We knew we had to do something as we had outgrown our existing facility which we leased. We could not find a suitable existing property, so we decided to build. Shortly after we launched the campaign, Covid hit. We contemplated stepping back but were advised to push forward and here we are,” she explained.
