Weekday science labs all summer long at The Building for Kids Children's Museum! Included with museum membership or daily admission. Tuesday through Friday 9:30-11:30 am Tuesday through Thursday 1-3 pm Friday 1-2 pm Water Wonders (June 15th-30th): Young scientists will have fun lifting an ice cube without touching it, discover that water can flow upward, check out what happens to ammonium phosphate crystals when hot water is added, explore capillary action and learn that air and water bend light differently! Science Discoveries that Snap, Crackle and Pop (July 1st ? 17th): Children will try 10 experiments that cause noisy, messy, and surprising chemical reactions! Lab goggles and coats provided. Light and Color (July 20-31st): Experiments will explore color mixing, refraction, reflection, and optical illusions. Sound (August 3rd-14th): Young scientists will discover that sound waves can move through water and air. Children will compare sounds and learn how the ear hears sounds. Electricity and Magnets (August 18th-28th): Experiments will include concepts such as static electricity, open and closed circuits, magnetic forces and battery power.
