Purchasing Coordinator

Description

We are a family-oriented Midwest based company in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Michigan. As a result of our growth, we have a need for a Purchasing Coordinator to generate and process stock purchase orders. The Purchasing Coordinator also assists with pricing maintenance and provides support for e-commerce transactions as needed.

What You Get To Do

· Provides pricing activities as needed.

· Procures pricing data from vendors and normalizes or edits data according to needs

· Analyzes pricing data and product usage data using Microsoft Excel

· Uploads pricing into quoting system and ERP system as required

· Maintains price matrix in ERP system including customer and product categories

· Sets up new product records in ERP system as needed

· Performs purchase activities for a list of specific vendors as follows:

· Prepares and submits stock purchase orders. Online entry of purchase orders on vendor’s web portal

· Responds to internal customer inquiries about order status and order changes. 

· Enters purchasing documents into the Document management system

· Verifies accuracy of vendor invoice and process for payment

· Contacts suppliers in order to schedule or expedite deliveries and to resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries and other problems

· Reviews requisition orders to verify accuracy, terminology and specifications.

· Monitors vendor performance as required 

· Assists with physical inventory as needed

· May perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

What We Need From You

· Associate’s degree in a related field a plus.

· Minimum three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

· Excellent computer skills.

· Proficient in Microsoft Word and advanced skills in Excel and the use of the Internet. 

· Problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

· Negotiation experience a plus.
